Morse code
In the UK and an increasing number of countries, it is no longer necessary to pass a Morse code test in order to gain access to the bands below 30MHz. This might be thought to lead to an overall decline in Morse activity, but there has been a welcome influx of new operators trying their hand at Morse code, at their own speed and without the daunting hurdle of a formal test to overcome.
